Everyone seems to be telling me to build a blog. Im an introvert, so that most likely won't be happening. However- I do love to sketch and doodle in my beloved sketchbooks, so I thought this might be a great place to showcase some of the fun things that are rarely seen by anyone but me.
"So when do you find time to paint?" That seems to be the biggest question from my peers. Having a 3 year old princess and a 1 year old dare devil does present its challenges. Just the other day at my Mops group, (mothers of pre-schoolers) I learned that the bible say that wives are to minister to their husband first, and the children 2nd. So add that to the mix too. My answer? Well, I put my babies to bed at 6:30 or 7pm, eat dinner and socialize with my husband for a little bit when he returns from work and then paint feverishly for a few hours before bed. This is not everyday, because my artistic drive comes and goes when it will. Sometimes I'll have an urge to paint in the middle of the night and sometimes during the kids nap time. I have a very understanding and supportive husband so it works out great. It also helps to keep sketchbooks lying around the house to scribble down ideas and doodle like a maniac when I get the chance. Sometimes I open up other creative outlets to release the creative build up I can amass sometimes. These activities include coloring with the babies, and writing letters to friends via snail mail and redecorating art around the house. Eventually my kids will have to go to bed later as they grow and hopefully when that happens, I will be able to find another pocket during the day to create.
